DR. LEAH DAVIS, DO
Board-certified MSK Radiologist at Grand Traverse Radiologists, PC.
Her educational background includes a radiology residency in a combined Michigan State University/Henry Ford Health program and fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Davis started her career in academics at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she developed an MSK US program to provide clinical services and train medical students, residents, fellows, and sonographers. Although still affiliated with MUSC, Dr. Davis primarily works in private practice in Traverse City, Michigan, providing sonographer training and MSK US services to patients throughout northern MI.
Dr. Davis is active in the Skeletal Society of Radiology and the American College of Radiology, and serves as board member of the Michigan State Medical Society and the Michigan Radiological Society.
Jon A. Jacobson, MD FACR
Jon A. Jacobson, MD FACR is a board-certified musculoskeletal radiologist.
His educational background includes radiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital and musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of California at San Diego.
After working for 23 years at the University of Michigan, Dr. Jacobson currently works at Lennox Hill Radiology in New York City.
Dr. Jacobson’s research interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound and MRI. His academic achievements include over 250 peer-reviewed publications and many invited national and international lectures or workshops.
Dr. Jacobson has been a visiting professor on over 50 occasions, is President-elect of the Society of Skeletal Radiology, and has received numerous teaching and mentoring awards.
He is also the author of the textbook “Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound,” which is now in its third edition.

Marnix T van Holsbeeck, MD, RMSK
Emeritus Director of Musculoskeletal Radiology in the Henry Ford Health System and is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at the Wayne State Medical School in Detroit, Michigan. Back in 1995 he received the President’s Medal of the prestigious International Skeletal Society. Marnix authored 129 peer reviewed articles, he also authored and co-authored an impressive number of book chapters and is the lead author on the original book titled “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound” first published in 1991. Currently, Dr. van Holsbeeck is working on the Fourth Edition of this text. Marnix founded the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society in 1990 and is currently still acting as one of its co-directors. This Society organized its 30th meeting in June of 2022. Prior meetings have been taking place in Europe, West and East Asia, and North, Central and South America. Marnix’s interests in imaging focus on motion induced injuries with a desire to resolve intermittent pain and dysfunction that no other imaging can discriminate. In that respect he has launched collaborative efforts in the past with the United States Olympic Committee and the National Space and Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI).
Lodewijk J van Holsbeeck, MD
Senior staff physician at Ascension St Mary’s of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Lodewijk is a musculoskeletal radiologist who trained under giants in his field including Drs. William Morrison and Levon Nazarian at Thomas Jefferson in Philadelpia, Pennsylvania and Dr. Jon Jacobson at the University of Michigan. Lodewijk's research has focused on groin, knee, and ankle injuries. Presentations have taken him to Chicago for the RSNA, to Tel Aviv for the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society, and to Philadephia for the International Skeletal Society. He has dual fellowship training in musculoskeletal and pediatric radiology making him uniquely skilled to handle sports injuries in the young athlete.
